Dr. Nikki Goeddeke
Associate Medical Director
(“Dr. G” or “Dr. Nikki”) was raised in a small town about an hour south of Chicago, called Bourbonnais, Illinois. She grew up playing every sport imaginable from softball and waterpolo to competing in horseback riding. She also at the age of 11 earned her first big achievement in life a black belt in Tang soo do, she then went on to earn her 2nd degree black belt 2 years later. She competed in Miss Illinois Teen USA in 2012 which landed her a scholarship to her undergraduate alma mater Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. There she majored in biology and received a minor in chemistry, all while volunteering at local animal hospitals to gain experience in the field.
After graduating from LU she stayed in St. Charles and worked as a veterinary technician while applying to veterinary school. She pursued her veterinary degree at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. There she was president of the Student Association of Veterinary Surgery club and was a member of many other clubs. On the weekends she devoted her time to working in the Equine and Bovine Center on Midwestern’s campus. She also volunteered with Midwestern’s Mobile Clinic and participated in spay and neuter clinics on local reservations. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in the Spring of 2021.
She joined Desert Ark in late June ’21, and has special interests in surgery, comprehensive dental care, and preventative medicine. She currently lives with her fiancé, Josh, and their two Bull Terriers (Brut and Bronson), Havanese (Leema), and Blue and Gold Macaw (Donald). In her free time she loves any exhilarating outdoor activity! She looks forward to providing the best care to your furry family members!
Dr. Bowie
Veterinarian
Dr. Bowie is originally from Washington State and spent many years working as a veterinary assistant in her hometown before throughout veterinary school. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts and Science degree in Medical Sciences and a minor in Animal Sciences from Washington State University. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University in Grenada and completed her clinical year at Texas A&M where she studied mixed animal medicine.
For the first two years following graduation, She worked in Georgia at a mixed animal practice with a primary focus in companion animals. Since moving to sunny Arizona three years ago, she has worked as a small animal general practitioner. She has strong interests in surgery, nutrition, and preventative care.
Dr. Bowie now lives in the phoenix area with her Fiancé, Braxton, and their two dogs (River whom she adopted while attending veterinary school in the Caribbean and Hubert their new golden retriever). When she is not working Dr. Bowie enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and striving to keep her house plants alive. She looks forward to meeting your pets general wellness needs as well as providing high quality urgent care in those unexpected times.

Dr. Ault
Veterinarian
Dr. Ault is most recently from Colorado but was raised as a child of all corners of the USA with both parents in the Air Force. She began her veterinary journey as an animal shelter volunteer, realizing the positive impact of spay/neuter services for the animals of a community. She attended Pepperdine University to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science, majoring in biology and minoring in sustainability while competing on the Women’s Swim and Dive Team. Along the way, she became a puppy raiser for Canine Partners of the Rockies, investing in the next generation of service dogs.
She obtained her DVM from Midwestern University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Glendale, AZ. She loved sunny Arizona so much that she stayed to complete a rotating small animal internship with focus in emergency medicine and surgery at The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ and since then has been practicing GP and Urgent Care medicine in the greater Phoenix valley.
Interests include preventative medicine, nutrition, surgery, and building lasting relationships through personalized follow-up care as well as evidence-based natural therapies that work in harmony with her clients’ lifestyles. In her free time, she enjoys tending her citrus and cacti garden, camping and exploring 4x4 trails with her husband, and stand up paddleboarding and swimming with her two dogs, “Eerie” the black Labrador Retriever and “Cayenne” the Hungarian Viszla.
