Dr. Goeddeke

Associate Medical Director

(“Dr. G” or “Dr. Nikki”) was raised in a small town about an hour south of Chicago, called Bourbonnais, Illinois. She grew up playing every sport imaginable from softball and waterpolo to competing in horseback riding. She also at the age of 11 earned her first big achievement in life a black belt in Tang soo do, she then went on to earn her 2nd degree black belt 2 years later. She competed in Miss Illinois Teen USA in 2012 which landed her a scholarship to her undergraduate alma mater Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. There she majored in biology and received a minor in chemistry, all while volunteering at local animal hospitals to gain experience in the field.

After graduating from LU she stayed in St. Charles and worked as a veterinary technician while applying to veterinary school. She pursued her veterinary degree at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. There she was president of the Student Association of Veterinary Surgery club and was a member of many other clubs. On the weekends she devoted her time to working in the Equine and Bovine Center on Midwestern’s campus. She also volunteered with Midwestern’s Mobile Clinic and participated in spay and neuter clinics on local reservations. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in the Spring of 2021.

She joined Desert Ark in late June ’21, and has special interests in surgery, comprehensive dental care, and preventative medicine. She currently lives with her fiancé, Josh, and their two Bull Terriers (Brut and Bronson), Havanese (Leema), and Blue and Gold Macaw (Donald). In her free time she loves any exhilarating outdoor activity! She looks forward to providing the best care to your furry family members!

Dr. Bowie

Veterinarian

Dr. Bowie is originally from Washington State and spent many years working as a veterinary assistant in her hometown before throughout veterinary school. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts and Science degree in Medical Sciences and a minor in Animal Sciences from Washington State University. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University in Grenada and completed her clinical year at Texas A&M where she studied mixed animal medicine.

For the first two years following graduation, She worked in Georgia at a mixed animal practice with a primary focus in companion animals. Since moving to sunny Arizona three years ago, she has worked as a small animal general practitioner. She has strong interests in surgery, nutrition, and preventative care.

Dr. Bowie now lives in the phoenix area with her Fiancé, Braxton, and their two dogs (River whom she adopted while attending veterinary school in the Caribbean and Hubert their new golden retriever). When she is not working Dr. Bowie enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and striving to keep her house plants alive. She looks forward to meeting your pets general wellness needs as well as providing high quality urgent care in those unexpected times.

Dr. Ault

Veterinarian

Dr. Ault is most recently from Colorado but was raised as a child of all corners of the USA with both parents in the Air Force. She began her veterinary journey as an animal shelter volunteer, realizing the positive impact of spay/neuter services for the animals of a community. She attended Pepperdine University to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science, majoring in biology and minoring in sustainability while competing on the Women’s Swim and Dive Team. Along the way, she became a puppy raiser for Canine Partners of the Rockies, investing in the next generation of service dogs.

She obtained her DVM from Midwestern University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Glendale, AZ. She loved sunny Arizona so much that she stayed to complete a rotating small animal internship with focus in emergency medicine and surgery at The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ and since then has been practicing GP and Urgent Care medicine in the greater Phoenix valley.

Interests include preventative medicine, nutrition, surgery, and building lasting relationships through personalized follow-up care as well as evidence-based natural therapies that work in harmony with her clients’ lifestyles. In her free time, she enjoys tending her citrus and cacti garden, camping and exploring 4x4 trails with her husband, and stand up paddleboarding and swimming with her two dogs, “Eerie” the black Labrador Retriever and “Cayenne” the Hungarian Viszla.

      What our clients are saying

The staff here is amazing! I have an older Cairn Terrier who has hip problems and needs to be handled in a certain way. They are always very careful with him and give him great care. Thank you so much for all your help and quick responses to my questions!

What I love most is that they treat your pets as one of their own. Every person I met from the front desk to the surgeon was exceptionally friendly and caring. My whole family and I will definitely be switching to this clinic for good."
      Meagan
Luckily I called Desert Ark on a recommendation and they got my pup, Kratos an appointment within hours and treated his broken toe with great care. The entire staff was friendly and showed a true love for animals.
      Dan Russo
Absolutely love this place. The staff is so kind. My pet and I had a genuine emergency. They didn’t fuss, got us straight in and helped my poor baby girl out as a priority.

We had no idea how much it would cost with us just needing to do whatever we could. I was pleasantly surprised. I walked away with my pet and money in my wallet.
      Sara
Everyone was so nice and helpful. They were very caring towards my dog and made sure that he received the best care possible. Dr. Manoli was great! He thoroughly explained everything to us and took great care of our dog!
      DeAnna
Your vet is very compassionate about animals! This was only our 2nd time visiting(both times our current vet couldn’t get them in) and we have decided to move to your practice permanently. Both were cared for top notch!

Dr. Manolli and his staff are beyond excellent. Carter is not feeling 100% right now, and the way Carter responds to all the staff here tells me they are an amazing and caring Vetrinary Hospital!!!
